The Cast

Writer/Director/Lead Actor

James C. Stewart

First time film-maker James C. Stewart is a New Zealand born actor who won a Green Card in the lottery, and so found himself living in the United States. After living in New York City for 8 years, working in film and theatre, he relocated to his current home of Seattle, bringing a little Kiwi to the Pacific Northwest.

In New Zealand he was a co-founder of the award-winning theatre company Scrambled Legs, in his home town of Christchurch. In Wellington he became a co-founding member of the award-winning theatre company The Bacchanals, where he got to perform Shakespeare and classical theatre with the likes of Academy Award Winner Taika Waititi, as well as both Flight of the Conchords Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie!

And before you ask, yes he was an orc in Lord of the Rings!

Supporting Cast

Kiwi & Woolly

Both hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand, they consider themselves to be vital members of the cast, especially since they are the only other two official cast members in the short film. Not to mention, they ended up being the inspiration for the production company logo created specifically to screen at the start of the film. They are seen here with their hoard of tasty New Zealand snacks. This is definitely not the last time we will see Kiwi & Woolly pop up on our screens! And for now, you can visit their bonus New Zealand page here!

Thinks He's The Star

Red

Hailing from New York City, Red has one very big personality encased in the body of a cheeky little monkey! He believes that he is the true star of I'm Okay... as he sat in the corner giving the performance of his lifetime. He portrayed a gamut of emotions as he silently watched all the action unfold. He is currently preparing his Academy Award acceptance speech. Red requested (demanded) that he have his own page on this website. You can check out The Red Series here!
